Studying Master's in International Event Management, it is natural for me to be a people person. I am more than that! I am passionate about bringing bright changes to the student community. In this light, some of my past experiences have been a great support. I am referring to my previous jobs where I worked and gauged that I could change opinions and more when I meet the same people again who come to thank me for the change of thought that I could bring.
Such small examples are my big achievements because I have been able to unknowingly help some come out of mental pressure. Due to being away from families, I wish to bring everyone closer so no one feels stressed in the absence of their family. I know I may not be able to replace families, butespecially during the pandemic I have realized the importance of being connected with each other.
As a student at Leeds Beckett, for those who know me, I have worked at Domino's Morley. Working in this job I have been able to lend my ear to listen to others and try and bring peace to them simply by listening. This is the kind of personal touch I believe I can give and from which others can benefit. It all started with taking orders over the phone call and leading to talking to people over the phone about their routines and issues.
I trust God, and this has been a boon in my life. It is because of this that I can bring solutions that are easy to implement. I developed this skill by living independently and I encourage others to be connected.
As a student, I want you to experience the best of the University life. We will together study hard and party harder! The balance of the two is my mantra and I shall chant this as an elected leader.
If chosen for this position, I would stand true to my image and be a people person. I will be available for them whenever needed. This has been a consistent trait and even now I am there when some of you needed me and I shall always remain the same. My job as an Event Manager at Royal Retreat Resort has also helped me learn the importance of engaging people in events that are next level, in entertainment and other aspects. Having worked with celebrities and artists I have developed patience and respect for time, and I will value it forever.
