Your full-time officers are elected by the student body during the Spring each year, and are paid and work full time leading Leeds Beckett Students’ Union for a year. They represent students to the university and help make students’ lives better.

Leeds Beckett Official Freshers Wristband 2026: 12th August midnight - 27th September 4am; From 20 Sept to 27 Sept; The ONLY University affiliated Freshers programme in the City in conjunction with Leeds’ Biggest Events Company. EARLY BIRDS ONLY £5!!! The first releases will sell out VERY FAST, so buy early to avoid disappointment and save £££!

Welcome Week in the Careers Centre: 21st September 10am - 25th September 4pm; Careers Centre, Leslie Silver Library, City Campus; We are open 10 – 4 each day Students can visit us at the career centre in Leslie Silver Building Games / prizes and information

Library Tours (Quieter tour): 22nd September 9:30am - 9:45am; Shelia Silver Library, City Campus; Join us for a tour of the Library. These quick 10-15 minute tours are taking place throughout the Welcome period and beyond. Come along and find out more about your Library and the services and facilities on offer.

Freshers Fair - City Campus: 22nd September 11am - 3pm; City Campus in the Portland Building and SU Events Hall; Come along to our Freshers Fairs at City Campus and jump into student life at Beckett!

Spin the wheel and the Library Break: 22nd September 11am - 5pm; Sheila Silver Library, The Nook; Come along and play our digital spin the wheel game! Find out which Library Bear you are, receive a free Library Bear card and a chocolate, and maybe win a prize!

HC Global Village Welcome Session: 22nd September 12:30pm - 1:30pm; CV 209 HC; Join us on Headingley Campus for this information session. Find out what the Global Village has in store for Welcome Weeks and throughout the year. Joining us will be other services from across the university to provide useful information for student

Headingley Campus Tour: 22nd September 2pm - 3pm; Meet outside James Graham Entrance; Join our Global Ambassadors for a tour of the Headingley Campus. Get to know your way around and all the places to study and all the great places to eat and have a cuppa! A chance to ask any questions as well

OFFICIAL LEEDSCRAWL - The Original Leeds Bar Crawl: 22nd September 7pm - 23rd September 4am; Home Nightclub Leeds; Freshers… are you ready for the biggest night of your life? 5 venues. 5000 students. 1 epic bar crawl. This is LEEDSCRAWL – Leeds original and wildest freshers event, and trust us… you do not want to miss this!

Global Village Café Postcard: 23rd September 12:30pm - 2:30pm; Rose Bowl Foyer, City Campus; Come along to our Global Village Postcard Café where you can write a postcard back to your family and enjoy some refreshments on us, and meet the team! A chance to connect with the Global Engagement Officers.
