It is an honour for me to be considered for the position of Academic Experience Officer in the Leeds Beckett Students' Union.

I firmly believe that my experience will help me empathize with students' issues, such as educational and financial ones, to find workable solutions.

Foster a culture of learning: I will work to create an environment where students feel motivated to learn, where they can ask questions without fear of judgment, and where they can engage in critical thinking and analysis.

Promote inclusivity: Inclusivity is essential for creating a supportive academic environment. I will work towards promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of academic life, from curriculum design to teaching methods and assessment.

Improve accessibility: I will work to identify and address barriers to accessibility, including physical, technological, and financial barriers.

Support mental health and wellbeing: Mental health is a crucial aspect of academic success, and I will work to ensure that students have access to mental health resources and support. I will also promote mental health awareness and de-stigmatization of mental health issues.

Facilitate student feedback: I will work to create channels for student feedback and engagement, ensuring that their voices are heard and that their feedback is taken into account.

Enhance academic support: I will work to improve academic support services, including tutoring, academic counselling, and study resources. I will also promote the use of innovative and effective teaching methods that support student learning.

As you all know, we are living in times when it gets tremendously difficult to strike a perfect balance in life, and you need someone to hear you out. And I, your student voice and your friend, and your classmate want to establish this through becoming a channel by getting into Leeds Beckett Students Union.

I promise you to engage the best of myself in any kind of challenges you come across during your time at Leeds Beckett University.
