MANIFESTO

Hi, My name is Laxman Sarvesh Atmakuri and I’m running for the position of Activity and events officer, As the officer of Activity and events, I will make sure the Leeds Beckett University is bursting with events every single day. Also, I will try to make the events keep people engage throughout the semester, therefore pack your boredom and throw out as your new officer is arriving. I will take care of everything for the activities and events which are held under my leadership.

We all know that there was a saying " All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy " which we will erase in our Leeds Beckett University by organizing Knowledgeable fun entertainment events.

My vision:

• I propose the cultural fest of three days which includes live concerts and DJ nights at City campus along with gaming’s and lot of food & fun.

• Having been an international student I knew what it feels like to be away from home. I will make sure they every international student will be engaged and interacted with everyone and make them feel Leeds Beckett University as their home.

• Regular emails and social media updates allowing society to promote their events and celebrate their success with wider audience of students including sporting events, performances, conferences, fund raisers and trips.

• I will increase the interaction of different societies at Leeds Beckett University. Entertainment at this place will improve to a great extent through the interactions.

• It is my responsibility to make sure the societies reach their full potential through joint events with the support of student union.

• Will keep the student union website more active and up to date allowing students to find out about past and upcoming events in one place this will make sure events are better promoted.

I'm standing because I believe my experiences have armed me with the knowledge of the student union that’s required to successfully undertake this role. Because I have been involved with many of the events and I have lead techno cultural fest in my college. I’m happy to share with you that I worked as Core Head with a lead of 500 people under me. And I’m proud to announce that was the most successful event that I have organized. Also, I have been awarded as a best core head leader for the decade.
