According to the book called 'The Art of Making Memories', happy memories are essential to our mental health. They strengthen our sense of identity, and purpose and bond our relationships.

My name is Zainab Masoodi, an MBA student. And a biotechnology honors graduate. I'm running to be your Activities & Events Officer. This creative, visionary role enables us to create those happy memories through great events, interaction & power engagement. 

In my UG program, I've been elected batch representative for 3 consecutive years, handling students' concerns. Additionally, member of the department's student council and artistic committee, the decor guide & member of the music society. 

Experience:

• Organising & hosting national-level events (Science Day, Flag Day). 
• Organized the national flag day in association with NFCH (govt.) to collect donations for underprivileged students for 2 years. 
• Writing reports & articles for the departmental activities & events.

These past experiences will aid me to shape a new year for activities & events & make students boom with enthusiasm. 

If I'm elected, I wish to aim at the objectives mentioned below with your support & collaboration. 

1. My responsibilities will not solely revolve around my role. However, it will majorly follow what the role expects out of an activities & events officer. I hope to plan & prepare events more frequently, for ALL the students. For students who wish to engage but are being pulled away by their modesty & distinctiveness – I will try to become approachable & conduct surveys to obtain their opinions. 
    
2. Bring multifarious events, activities, engagement, and inclusiveness while keeping in mind the basic needs of students, both local & international. I will not be biased toward a specific community, gender, religion, ethnicity, or culture. 
    
3. Strive to ensure that all individuals are getting exposure to fun & fruitful events. I will encourage students to participate to unlock their utmost potential. I will connect with students, so they don't remain uninformed.
    
4. Make sure all societies remain functional and propose regular, inspiring content.
    
5. Collaborate with other officers, students, university & external parties to make the time spent in the university memorable. 

I believe these roles are more than a job profile and people look up to you with hope & expectations. I will be kind to those needs. I trust Kaizen, as even small changes can add up and make a big impact over time.

• Bring more value deals & offers to all the outlets across the campuses, blogs & price comparisons of stores.
• Conduct frequent swap shops and thrift stores for students.
• Bring in fruits, and juices stalls for students to keep the students active.

Better sense of belonging? 

• Host more inter-community events, and festivals.
• Merge communities on several occasions.
• Acknowledge, appreciate, and explore diverse cultural programs. 
• Frequent meet & greet.
