Welcome to the SLT Society! We are here to raise awareness of what Speech and Language Therapists do within the LBU community whilst creating an inclusive, fun society where everyone feels comfortable to take part and have their voice heard. We aim to provide support to members by offering fun and educational activities throughout the year.

Communities work alongside our Student Community Organisers and Course Representatives, and they provide a space to chat about shared aims and issues – giving you the power to make positive change on campus. They’re also a great place to find out about how to get involved in wider community organising campaigns with your Students’ Union.

All students on the following courses are automatically enrolled as part of this community. However, if you would like to join the community from another course, you can join as an associate member. The courses that are represented here are:

  • BSc (Hons) Speech & Language Therapy
  • MSc Speech & Language Therapy (Pre-Reg)
