The Outdoor Society runs fortnightly weekend trips across our local region to provide students with the opportunity to meet with like-minded people and step outside the busy life of university and Leeds.
Every week, we alternate between Wednesday Evening Socials and Saturday/Sunday Walks. We try to cater to every level of walking ability with our events and also look to provide a great time!

The Countryside Code for visitors is your guide to visiting the countryside. It includes the rules you must follow when you’re enjoying parks and waterways, coast and countryside. You must follow the signs in the countryside that tell you where you can go and who can use the right of way.
This statement is to make you aware of specific risks you and/or your party may be exposed to. Some are just the normal risks associated with being in an outdoor activity setting and some are specific to the kind of activity being undertaken.
This document is to support you to make informed decisions when deciding what kit to wear to our events. This document is seen as a good starting point for society members to use to ensure they feel prepared for our events. Although this document is a list of recommendations, individuals are trusted to make their own decisions regarding their kit.
