Purpose of this Notice
This Notice explains how Leeds Beckett Students’ Union (the ‘SU’) will use your video footage and photograph(s) for marketing and promotional activities and the range of marketing channels the SU may use. This includes, but is not limited to print and digital media formats including:
• Magazines and publications to promote the SU and our Departments and Services, student life and the student experience
• SU websites and associated microsites
• Direct mail and e-marketing
• Posters
• Banners
• Advertising and out of home
• Leeds Big Screen
• Plasma screens and TVs across the University
• PC desktops
• Film
• Social media – across all platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and YouTube
Please note the SU offers a number of specialist services, such as: Student Wellbeing and Mental Health, Financial and Academic advice. We may use your footage and photograph to support the promotion of these Services.
Storage
The footage and photographs will be stored securely on the SU network and access is controlled and will be limited. All staff receive training on data protection and how to handle data securely. We will not sell or share the photograph(s) to third parties for their commercial purposes.
Legal basis for processing
The organisation responsible for looking after your personal data (the “Data Controller”) is Leeds Beckett Students’ Union.
We will process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (“GDPR”) or any successor legislation to the GDPR or the DPA.
The legal basis under which processing of personal data may take place is your consent.
Your rights to the data
As a person whose personal data we are processing, you have certain rights in respect of that personal data; you have the right:
• To withdraw consent
• To access your personal data that we process
• To rectify inaccuracies in personal data that we hold about you if it is inaccurate or incomplete
• To request the deletion or removal of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing
• To restrict the processing of your personal data in certain ways
• To obtain your personal data for reuse
• To object certain processing of your personal data

I agree and understand that by completing this form that I give my express written consent to Leeds Beckett Students’ Union (and any individuals, entities or others acting under its authority or on its behalf) to store, edit, publish or use my personal data.
This data may include my name, email, video footage and photographs both internally and externally for the purposes of promoting and marketing Leeds Beckett Students’ Union throughout the world using the marketing channels as detailed and set out in this notice.
If I am less than 18 years of age, I understand that my parent or legal guardian must give consent.
