From its newly build shopping centre located in the heart of the city to its famous arcades all more beautiful than the other, the city pretty much offers everything you might be looking for! Trinity Shopping Centre
Trinity Leeds really changed the shopping scene in Leeds when it finally opened in 2013. It was named after the adjacent 18th-century Holy Trinity Church which is still connected to the newly built building. The new centre is not only beautiful and incredibly impressive but is also the home of all your favourite shops. Topshop, Primark, M&S, Apple, Next and Uber Outfitters are all calling Trinity their home. Need a break while shopping? Head to Trinity Kitchen for a snack. It’s where you can find the best street food in Leeds with new street food vans every eight weeks!
Leeds Kirkgate Market
The Kirkgate Market is one of the most impressive building in Leeds. It’s the largest covered market in Europe and is the home of the first ever M&S stall. When you walk through its impressive indoor streets, you can really feel the role that Leeds played during the Victorian Era. You might head to Kirkgate Market to pick up your weekly shop, buy freshly baked bread, shop for affordable decoration or buy as many plants as you can fit in your flat! It really has everything you can think of. If you’re hungry and need a quick lunch, you’ll find so many great food vendors at the Market. Try the Bánh mì from Banh & Mee, yum!
Leeds Corn Exchange
The historic Corn Exchange was first built to give the opportunity to local trader to sell their craft. 150 years later, the establishment is still full of independent businesses with shops, salons and restaurants shaping the Leeds culture. So whether you’re after some vintage clothing, handcraft jewellery or just something a delicious, you won’t be disappointed to visit the Corn Exchange!
Beautiful arcades
All the arcades in Leeds are absolutely gorgeous and showcase the city’s rich Victorian history and architecture! It’s where, surprisingly, you’ll find both local independents and internationally renowned brands in the same space. Make sure to check out the Queen’s Arcade, Thornton’s Arcade, Grand Arcade, Victoria Quarter and the fancy newbie Victoria Gate.
Vintage shops
Leeds is great if you’re into vintage fashion or giving a second life to a piece of clothing! The city host many great vintage shops like Blue Rinse and Pop Boutique but also an array of charity shops where you can find so many gems at affordable prices. The student neighborhood Headingley, only a short walk away from Headingley Campus has more than 5 charity shops on one street. Vintage shopping heaven!
