Not only does the gallery host an impressive collection of art from the 19th and 20th centuries, but has several events and exhibitions throughout the year. The best part is, it’s free entry for all. Explore Leeds City Museum

Discover Leeds' rich history at Leeds City Museum, home to the iconic Leeds Tiger. The museum is also home to Nesaymun, the Ancient Egyptian Mummy, as well as a whole gallery of centuries old fossils and extinct animal bones from around the world. Walk around the city's canals

If you’re looking to escape the hustling city centre why not take a walk along the Leeds & Liverpool canal, a historic waterway stretching 127 miles with some of the most amazing feats of engineering and scenic views to date? Challenge yourself! Starting at Clarence Dock Bridge over the entrance to Leeds Dock, follow the footpath and enjoy a charming 4km walk from the Dock to Thwaite Watermill. Try tasty food at Kirkgate Market

Kirkgate Market is packed full of fun activities and stalls, with delicious and authentic street food from around the world and ongoing live music and events. Whether you’re just admiring the beautiful Victorian architecture or picking up some cheap fresh produce, the market complex on Vicar Lane is the largest covered market in Europe and a Grade 1 listed building.
