Student Safe Ride Scheme With Veezu

To support Leeds Beckett students needing a taxi, Veezu has partnered with Leeds Beckett Students' Union to offer a Safe Rides Scheme. This service provides emergency transport for students who find themselves stuck, unable to pay and in need of a ride home.

How to Use the Veezu Safe Rides Scheme

1. Call Veezu on 0113 831 4004 and quote "Student Safe Rides Scheme."

2. Provide the operator with your full name, email address, and Leeds Beckett University student ID. In the event that you do not have your student card or number to hand, please provide a leedsbeckett.ac.uk email address.

3. A car will be sent as a priority to your location.

4. Reach your destination safely. The driver will take you to a residential address, halls of residence, police station or hospital. Leeds Beckett SU will cover the fare initially.

5. Visit the Students' Union Welcome Desk in the Portland Building at City Campus within 72 hours to pay the outstanding fare.

Note: This service is for emergency use only, when you have no money / means to get home.
