All of our live events at Leeds Beckett are standing room only, however we are proud to be able to accommodate accessible requests from customers wherever possible. Please read the FAQs below before contacting us.

What accessible requests are you able to accommodate?

  • Early entry to accessible area: If you would like to gain access to your position in the accessible area prior to general ticketholder entry, you can book this via our digital form.

You will be able to come to the accessible entrance via the ramp that wraps onto the front of our building via Woodhouse Lane, and let a member of our security team know that you have arrived. Security will bring you in up to 10 minutes prior to the official door time for the event, and show you to the accessible area. Please be aware we will not be able to delay opening doors to general ticketholders at the official time, if you have not arrived prior.

  • Carer/companion ticket: If you require a carer or companion to join you for this event for accessible purposes, then we are able to authorise this free of charge from the box office on entry to the venue. You must book this in advance via our digital form and receive confirmation.

  • Accessible area seating: If you require a seat in order to attend an event at our venue, you can request to book this via our digital form and will need to receive confirmation of your booking. We ask that you specify how many members of your party require a seat for accessible purposes only as this allows us to maximise the amount of customers we can accommodate with this requirement. Other members of your party will be able to stand beside/behind you in the accessible area if they do not require a seat.

Please be aware that our accessible area is a roped off strip on a raised platform at the side of the room where the event will take place, and you will have full view of the stage. The platform itself however is not exclusive to accessible customers, this only applies to the roped area. There may be other general ticketholders also on the platform outside of the roped area, particularly if the event is sold out. Should you encounter any problems at all during your visit with us, please speak to a member of security. We also have venue staff in the box office, and at the bar area.

  • Wheelchair space: If you require a space to be allocated for your wheelchair in order to attend an event at our venue, you can request to book this via our digital form and will need to receive confirmation of your booking. Other members of your party will be able to stand beside/behind you in the accessible area if they do not require a seat for accessible purposes.

  • Radar key: You can request a radar key to utilise our accessible bathroom by either asking at the bar, or asking a member of security staff to retrieve this for you from the bar if there is a large queue waiting to be served. You do not need to book this in advance.

Who can request an accessible booking?

  • You can either request an accessible booking for yourself, or for someone else – all we ask is that the name provided for the booking is the name given on the night to the box office to utilise the booking.

  • We do not ask for customers to have blue badges, PIP certificates or other forms of disability ID in order to utilise our accessible booking functions. We allow customers to book accessible accommodations based on what they feel will ensure that they are able to be comfortable whilst enjoying an event with us.

  • For customers who may not identify as having a disability, but are experiencing temporary limited mobility and other restrictions, we are happy to accommodate with any of the options listed above – this includes if you are pregnant, have broken bone(s), are temporarily on crutches and other similar situations.

The event I want to attend is sold out, can I still request an accessible booking?

  • We can only accommodate bookings for customers who have a confirmed ticket purchase – this is why we ask for you to submit proof of purchase as part of the booking form.

  • Whilst awaiting to see if any more tickets become available, you can ask us if there is still space available in the accessible area for an event by emailing our team at SUEvents@leedsbeckett.ac.uk – we cannot reserve spaces for you without tickets, but this will give an indication as to whether we will be able to accommodate you should the promoter release more tickets prior to an event.

  • Please do not purchase tickets from unofficial secondary sellers for our events, as we can’t guarantee that these will be genuine and unfortunately we do have to turn away customers who do not have legitimate tickets.

How do I submit an accessible booking request?

  • Click the button below to access our digital form

  • You will need to receive confirmation via email that we are able to accommodate your booking. For some shows we receive a high volume of requests and it is first-come-first-served in this instances. We particularly receive a high volume of requests on days that shows are announced and go on sale, so please be patient whilst waiting for your confirmation.
