In speed mooting, everything’s provided—skeleton arguments, case law, and legislation—so you can focus on presenting and learning, practising and honing your courtroom and advocacy skills. You’ll even have the chance to try being a judge! With supportive feedback from experienced professionals, it’s a perfect way to develop your skills in a low-pressure, but fun, setting. Each session is fast-paced, interactive, and structured to maximize learning with real-time feedback from professionals.
About Speed Mooting UK and the Advocacy Club
For over 11 years, Speed Mooting UK has been helping aspiring lawyers gain valuable advocacy experience through competitions judged by experienced practitioners who provide constructive feedback. The National Speed Mooting Competition has been running since 2012, hosted at universities across the UK, and this year, you’ll get to be part of it! Its subsidiary organization, The Advocacy Club, is an inclusive, friendly community designed to build your confidence and skill in legal advocacy. They meet monthly to allow everyone to practise advocacy (cases, speaking, examinations) in a non-judgmental and supportive environment.
Don’t miss out!
